THE IMMACULATE COLLECTION

Released November 9 of 1990, Madonna released  an album that would go on to become one of the biggest selling albums in music history. Bursting with fifteen of her classic hits of the 80's from "Holiday" to "Vogue", the massively successful IMMACULATE COLLECTION greatest hits package extravaganza truly shook the world. Madonna released two new songs on this greatest hits compilation, "Justify My Love" and "Rescue Me". Both songs were smash hits- the first topping the charts and the second peaking at #9 and becoming the highest debuting single by a female at that time.

The video for "Justify My Love" caused shockwaves and controversy around the globe- it was banned from MTV so Madonna turned around and sold the video for ten bucks a pop, causing it to become the highest selling video single in music history. For whatever reason, Madonna never released a video for "Rescue Me"- however the song is a bona fide fan favorite and a wonderful precursor to that gritty, urban sound she would envelop herself in on her EROTICA and BEDTIME STORIES albums in the early 90's that's finding countless fans today.
